Summer School: Understanding Sustainability, Consumption and Risk, 25-29 May 2009, Tampere

The main theme of the summer school "Understanding Sustainability, Consumption and Risk" is sustainability, consumption and risk in a changing world. The course will cover also such themes as responsible business, climate, water and energy as well as the futures research methods.

The first part (25-27 May) consist of lectures and exercises like rolesimulations. Lecturers and experts of the course are from the Rhodes University (Republic of South Africa) and from Finland Futures Research Centre.

The second part of the summer school is participation in the Future of the Consumer Society -conference. Please see the detailed and updated program from the conference website.

The summer school is organised by the Finland Futures Academy in collaboration with the Finland Futures Research Centre at the Turku School of Economics and Department of Geography at the Rhodes University.

The summer school language is English.
