Turku School of Economics offers many varieties of possibilities for those intending to take up the career of a researcher. Over one-third of our staff act in various research assignments. The posts respective to assistants, senior assistants and professors are research positions that also include teaching duties. Alternatives at various stages of a career are also offered in the form of researcher, research doctor, specialist researcher, researcher or research assistant assignments.
International networking
As a graduate student, you can familiarize yourself with a wide variety of research problems and deepen your expertise in matters that interest you. As a member of the research team, the graduate student networks with other researchers on the same theme. S/he can develop broader integers through his/her research work, participate in finding solutions to practical problems experienced by companies and other organizations, and establish contacts with business life representatives as well as industrial policy decision-makers both domestically and abroad.
Selection of graduate students
The yearly entry of graduate students is approximately 25 students. The selections are made on the basis of applications twice a year, in January and September. More details on applying as a graduate student are available in the Studying section.
