Information for incoming students 

Please take some time to carefully read through this page for practical information concerning your studies at the Turku School of Economics. Also the Guide for Master’s Degree Students 2007 (pdf) contains very useful information.

In addition, you may also find the Virtual Orientation pages highly informative. The orientation is primarily for exchange students, but international students as a whole will also find it useful.

Important deadlines:

Confirmation:

You should confirm your enrolment with the confirmation form. The form will be sent to you by mail. It should be filled in and returned to the Office for Academic Affairs of the Turku School of Economics at the beginning of August (exact date to be informed later). You will lose your right to enrol if the form is not returned by this deadline.

Registration:

You should register at the Office for Academic Affairs as soon as you arrive in Turku. Before registering at the office you should pay the Student Union membership fee. For this year 2011 the membership fee is €90. The registration and the membership payment should be made by September 2011 (exact date to be announced later).

Orientation:

The orientation for all incoming students will begin at the Turku School of Economics at the end of August 2011. The orientation includes practical information on studying at the School, and the facilities offered for students (library services, computer facilities, language courses and medical services etc.) The information given during the orientation is crucial in helping a foreign students to settle in quickly and with ease.

Your individual study plan:

All students will prepare their individual study plans at the beginning of the academic year under the guidance of faculty members. As soon as you have arrived please contact Education Coordinator and make an appointment to discuss your study plan.

Beginning of the studies:

The exact date will be announced later.
