In a broad sense, the TSE Entre conducts academic entrepreneurship research. We focus our research activities on entrepreneurship as
- an individual career choice
- a business activity and
- a societal phenomenon.
Our strongest areas are in the fields of academic and global entrepreneurship, family business and intrapreneurship. The cornerstone for the research at the TSE Entre is the Towards the Entrepreneurial Society research programme. The programme investigates the role and dynamics of entrepreneurship in the society. Entrepreneurship is understood as a versatile phenomenon that touches upon individuals, organisations and societies alike. Detailed information on our research publications and on-going research projects is available through TSE's on-line search.
Putting it into practice
Our persistent academic research creates a stable ground for applied research, contracted research as well as development and training programmes. We apply different research methods widely and hence contribute to the methodological development within entrepreneurship research.
The research results are applicable in dealing with the following questions:
- How to support the entrepreneurial skill development?
- How successful business activities are generated?
- What is the role of entrepreneurship in the society?
- How policy-making can influence entrepreneurship?
