Baltic Rim Economies Special Issue on the Future of the Arctic published 

Guest writer Consul Martti Ruokokoski from the Murmansk Office of the Consulate General of Finland in St. Petersburg.    

The Pan-European Institute publishes a quarterly discussion forum, Baltic Rim Economies (BRE), which focuses on the development of the Baltic Sea Region. In BRE, high-level public and corporate decision makers, representatives of Academia and several other experts contribute to the discussion.

The latest issue of BRE focuses on the future of the Arctic, and in the expert articles for instance Consul Martti Ruokokoski from the Murmansk Office of the Consulate General of Finland in St. Petersburg discusses the future of tourism in the Arctic region and in the Kola Peninsula. The themes covered in the articles include also Arctic geopolitics, international cooperation, the future of indigenous peoples, and general economic development.
