New Students in the FUTU Master's Degree Programme

New students have begun their studies

14 new Futures Students have begun their studies in the Master's Degree Programme in Futures Studies. We now have students from all over the world e.g. Belarus, Latvia, Finland, Iran and Vietnam. The whole staff of the Finland Futures Research Centre are happy to welcome new faces to our community.

Learning about Futures Studies began for the new students a week ago with the first lecture course titled Foundations of Futures Studies. Language courses and courses in methodology and minors have also begun for most, so the academic year has indeed begun. Students are also busy compiling their study plans and choosing minors. The programme offers a variety of minors to choose from, and at the moment it seems that Economic Sociology and Sustainable Development are among the most popular ones.

If you would like to learn more about Futures Studies and become a foresight expert, please read more about our studies and contact the staff if you require more help. The application period for the Master’s Degree Programme in Futures Studies will start on the 1st of December 2011. Make sure you apply in time.
