Global Entrepreneurship Monitor 2008 Report published

Global economic crisis is reducing perceived opportunities to start a business all around the world according to the 10th annual Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) 2008 Global Report. This is the first time in five years that perceptions shift negatively marking the end of a pattern of increasingly positive attitudes among non-entrepreneurs.

The escalating economic crisis was not, however, reflected at its early stages in entrepreneurs’ future expectations.

The GEM research surveyed about 150,000 adults worldwide during May-June 2008. In Finland the survey is conducted by TSE Entre, which publishes the national GEM report for Finland in spring.
