Managing Creative Knowledge Capital 

The project Managing Creative Knowledge Capital aimed at developing the concepts and practices of innovation know-how and renewal capability as strategic competence factors.

The project produced indicators and tools for forecasting an organisation's potential renewal and innovation paths. Simultaneously, a systematic model for improving the innovativeness within the participating organisations was be developed. Ultimately, the complete development process offered the companies new perspectives and tools as they form a concrete understanding of how to use foresight methods in their business development.

The project was carried out at the Finland Futures Research Centre and funded by TEKES, the National Technology Agency of Finland, which is the main public funding organisation for research and development in universities, companies and research institutes. The objective of TEKES is to help firms develop and turn potential ideas into business by providing funding and expertise.

The project was conducted in collaboration with six Finnish companies:

  • Advertising Agency Sek & Grey Ltd.
  • UPM-Kymmene Group Plc.
  • VR Group Ltd.
