“Indicator Framework for Eco-efficiency” is funded by Academy of Finland and is part of their research programme on Sustainable Production and Products (KETJU). The aim of this four year consortium project is to develop both theoretical and conceptual framework for eco-efficiency and eco-efficiency indicators. This framework should be applicable in different levels and in different targets. The framework will be tested by empirical case studies e.g. in forest industry. Based on these results, various scenarios will be made. These scenarios will model the needed development trends in the various case studies.
Åbo Akademi University (academy research fellow Jouni Korhonen) coordinates the project. Besides Finland Futures Research Center, other partners are the Department of Biological and Environmental in the University of Helsinki (professor Pekka Kauppi) and Technical Research Centre of Finland (research professor Ilkka Savolainen).
The project will be carried out during 1.1.2007-31.12.2010.
