Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration
The Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration is an undergraduate degree.
The degree consists of 180 ECTS credits, and can be completed in three years.
At TSE the undergraduate degree can only be completed in Finnish.
Structure of the degree
- Studies in major 60 ECTS cr. (including Bachelor's thesis 10 ECTS cr.)
- Studies in minor 25 ECTS cr.
- Introductory studies 63 ECTS cr.
- Language and communication studies 24 ECTS cr.
- Elective studies 14–23 ECTS cr.
Prerequisites to obtain a degree
The Finnish Matriculation Examination and equivalent foreign qualifications provide the general eligibility for applying to the university. The entrance examination is obligatory for everyone who does not have previous university degree in Economics and Business Administration. The examination takes place in June. It is in Finnish and is based on five books, all written in Finnish. A good command of Finnish is required, because the general/introductory studies (first year studies) are offered only in Finnish.
Bachelor of Social Sciences
The Bachelor of Social Sciences is an undergraduate degree. The degree consists of 180 ECTS credits, and can be completed in three years.
Structure of the degree
- Studies in major (Economics) 90 ECTS cr. (including Bachelor's thesis 10 ECTS cr.)
- Studies in minor (Mathematics of Economics) 25 ECTS cr.
- Studies in minor (Statistics) 25 ECTS cr.
- Basic studies in one minor or equivalent 25 ECTS cr.
- Language and communication studies 15 ECTS cr.
At TSE the undergraduate degree can only be completed in Finnish.
