Postgraduate studies provide the student with a deep familiarity of his/her own field of science and its social significance, as well as the readiness within the sphere of his/her research field to independently and critically apply the methods of scientific research and establish new scientific knowledge.
In postgraduate studies, the student acquaints him/herself well with the development, basic problems and research methods of his/her own field, in addition to achieving the sort of expertise with other subject areas connected with general scientific theory and his/her area of research which enables the monitoring of their development.
Post-graduate degrees can be completed in the following disciplines:
Licenciate of Science in Economics and Business Administration and Licentiate of Social Sciences
The extent of the Licentiate degree is 150 ECTS credits, and a full-time student can complete it in two and a half years.

- Licentiate thesis 90 ECTS cr.
- General postgraduate studies 16 ECTS cr.
- Postgraduate studies in major subject 32 ECTS cr.
- Elective studies 12 ECTS cr.
Doctor of Science in Economics and Business Administration and Doctor of Social Sciences
The doctorate degree consists of 240 ECTS credits. As a full-time student, the doctorate degree can be completed in four years. The scope of postgraduate studies is 60 ECTS credits.The most important part of the doctorate degree is doctoral thesis.

- Postgraduate studies in major subject 32 ECTS cr.

Doctor of Philosophy
The structure is the same as in the economics degree. Admission to pursue postgraduate studies for the Doctorate of Philosophy can be granted to an applicant with a degree in a field other than business science in the event that she/he has completed the degree in a closely related field.
