Cooperation

ACE

Aboa Centre for Economics (ACE) is a cooperative body founded in 1998 by Turku’s three universities. Its parties are represented by the unit of Economics at Turku School of Economics, Åbo Akademi University’s nationalekonomi unit and the Department of Economics at the University of Turku. The operational concept of ACE is based on coordinating teaching in the field, initiating mutual research projects and consolidating collaboration between the three universities.

FDPE

The unit of Economics at Turku School of Economics is involved in the operations of the Finnish Doctoral Program in Economics (FDPE), which is a joint doctoral program of the 11 departments of economics in Finnish universities. FDPE offers courses and seminars to post-graduate students of economics. Part of the Turku School of Economics’ post-graduate studies are completed by means of FDPE courses.

Kartelli

The unit of Economics operates in close cooperation with Kartelli (“Cartel”), the student club for economics students. Students majoring in economics, together with the faculty, have written articles for the Talous (Economy) insert in Turun Sanomat, Turku’s daily newspaper. Cooperation has also included the organisation of excursions as well as other economics-related free-time activities. Despite its name, Kartelli is open to everyone.
