Excellent language and communication skills – part of the core expertise of any business graduate 


Unit for Languages and Business Communication responds to the requirements set by the business community by aiming at excellence in teaching and providing courses with a practical aim and content.

The courses being primarily related to the practical demands of the business world, the emphasis is both on the development of familiarity with the required concepts and terminology, and the acquisition of certain crucial primary skills. These include negotiation, the giving of presentations, and intercultural communication.

Language and Communication Studies in Finnish, Swedish and in two other languages are included in the Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees.

A language may be chosen as a minor subject. In addition, students may complete a study module in Corporate Communications. This module links language studies and other communication-related courses.

It is also possible to study languages at TSE via the selection offered by the Open University.
