Cooperation and specialist knowledge 

Business Law professors function as expert members in various national, Nordic and European Union level committees, work groups and boards.

Professor Raimo Immonen is, for instance, the Chairman for the Adjustment Board of the TAX Office for Major Corporations and a member of the State Auditing Board, as well as Finland’s deputy representative in the EGAOB auditing field committee on the EU level. Professor Matti J. Sillanpää is the Chairman of the Acquisition Committee, set by the Central Chamber of Commerce, as well as a deputy member of the State Auditing Board. In addition, Professor Sillanpää has been actively involved with Nordic research cooperation within the context of Nordiske Selskabretskonkonference in addition to editing company law for the journal, Nordisk Tidskrift for selskabsret.

Teachers of Business Law function actively in collaboration with Business Law instructors and researchers from other economic and legal units in, among other things, organizing cooperation in post-graduate education. Their expertise is frequently utilized when new legislation is being prepared on both the national and EU level. They also act as specialists and lecturers at public and private training occasions.
