Those who come to study at Turku School of Economics choose their major subject during the spring of their first academic year. Entrepreneurship can be studied either as a minor or as a major subject.
Studies are devided into:
- a three-year Bachelor of Economic Sciences degree (180
ECTS credits)
- after that, into two-year Master-level studies (120 ECTS credits)
- it is possible to proceed to the level of Doctor of Economic Sciences
Entrepreneurship studies are divided into basic, subject-based and advanced studies. The content of courses vary from getting familiar with the phenomenon of entrepreneurship together with understanding business know-how and management to more practically oriented teaching that provides concrete knowledge and skills (e.g., the preparation of a business plan, establishment of a company). Perspectives include the individual as an entrepreneur and manager, the company and its business environment, and entrepreneurship in society in its broader contexts.

Entrepreneurship strives for
holistic understanding of business
Entrepreneurship unites the various fields of business activity, providing the readiness for the holistic understanding and management of business operations. In teaching, we delve into, for example, the special questions connected with leadership, marketing and accounting. There is an educational emphasis on an entrepreneurial-like, interactive learning culture and tight cooperation with business enterprises.
