The Programme

Finland is building a knowledge-based economy. To make that work it must rely on people who are highly educated. Being a large country with a small population Finland is very careful when developing human resources, because they are so scarce and important. When talent is spotted it will be nourished.

Highly developed economies depend heavily on companies which take innovative products, services and novel business concepts to the world markets. To accomplish that it needs people who have the generalist understanding of today’s complex interactions in a globalising world. It needs people who are able to be entrepreneurial in a variety of contexts in order to identify opportunities. It needs people who are able to innovate by evaluating found or made opportunities and who are able to commercialise them internationally.

This is the background of the Master’s Degree Programme in Global Innovation Management. We strive to develop talent which will be capable to contribute to innovative companies’ international expansion and lead their development.

To get such valuable human resources the Finnish state is investing. It is investing in you if you are a good fit with the programme. Therefore we charge no tuition fees. How do you know to be a good fit with the programme? You are if you are accepted!
