Life after GIM: Career

GIM is designed to transform your thinking in order for you to contribute to the international success of various types of organisations.

The programme’s International Business component is designed to give you generalist capabilities which equip you with the abilities to understand complex interactions and the big picture in an ever more globally interdependent world. This capability shapes graduates to be very valuable actors in areas like general management, management of small and medium-sized enterprises and similar type of organisational roles.

The innovation management part of GIM gives you in addition a very wide understanding of the nature of innovations, their development and commercialisation. Our focus in terms of innovation management ranges from macro-systems (i.e. national innovation systems) to business concept innovations, to more traditional innovation management tasks in R&D, product, service and process innovation management. This more specialised focus is a great complement to a generalist set of skills.

The third fundamental emphasis of GIM, entrepreneurship studies, is working on cognitive and behavioural abilities of our students that have been found to positively correlate with successful innovations.

In sum, the design of GIM gives you a myriad of possible career opportunities in all kind of organisational settings and roles.
