Degree Ceremonies of Turku School of Economics 13.-15.5.2010

Turku School of Economics will be arranging its fifth ceremonial conferment of doctoral degrees in May 2010. The degree ceremonies were held for the first time in 1989.

Turku School of Economics strives to be an internationally recognised research university within its areas of specialisation. Doctoral education of a high standard comprises a significant share of the activities of a research university.

"Turku School of Economics wishes to acknowledge those who have completed their doctoral degree and hold a doctorate by once again arranging a solemn, yet warm-hearted conferment ceremony. Upholding tradition and ensuring continuity are important, as universities face a situation of strong structural development. Turku School of Economics will continue to be the same familiar school, but its role as part of a multidisciplinary university makes it an increasingly distinguishable and influential actor", according to Professor Antti Paasio, Conferrer of the Degree Ceremonies of Turku School of Economics.
