Sword Sharpening Display
- Ladies: Short or long dress
- Gentlemen: dark suit
Conferment Ceremony
- Doctor (lady): Long black gown with long sleeves, no gloves, black shoes, no handbag (1)
- Doctor (man): Evening dress (white tie), black waistcoat, no gloves, no white handkerchief, no patent-leather shoes (1)
- Doctor's escort: Evening dress (white tie), black waistcoat, no gloves, no white handkerchief, no patent-leather shoes OR dark suit (2)
- Doctor's lady: Dark afternoon dress (long or short), no hat (2)
- Invited guest (lady): Dark afternoon dress (long or short), no hat (except doctor's hat for conferred doctor) (2)
- Invited guest (man): Evening dress (white tie), black waistcoat, no gloves, no white handkerchief, no patent-leather shoes OR dark suit, no hat (except doctor's hat for conferred doctor) (2)
Banquet
- Doctor (lady): Long black gown, doctoral hat, sword (3)
- Doctor (man): Evening dress (white tie), white waistcoat, doctoral hat, sword (3)
- Doctor's escort: Evening dress, white waistcoat (3)
- Doctor's lady: Long evening gown, not black or white (3)

Boat Trip
1. The doctoral hat and sword etched with the name will be delivered to Turku School of Economics in advance, major decorations.
2. Major decorations, doctoral hat. Sword for honorary doctors only.
3. Major decorations. Only conferred doctors as well as officiants bear a doctoral hat and sword in the hall.
