TSE Entre co-operates actively within the university, regionally, nationally and internationally. The activities are based on our solid academic expertise and wide co-operation networks. The TSE Entre is a member in several key networks in the field of entrepreneurship:
- ECSB-network: European Council for Small Business is a European network for entrepreneurship researchers. The ECSB is an affiliate for the International Council for Small Business. The secretariat for the ECSB resides in the TSE Entre.
- ENSR-network: The TSE Entre is the Finnish member of the ENSR since 1995. ENSR conducts social and economic research particularly for the European Commission.
- GEM-network: Researchers from the TSE Entre take part in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) –research network that carries out unique international comparative research in entrepreneurial activity among adult populations in over 40 countries. Turku School of Economics is responsible for the Finnish data in the GEM research.
- IPREG-network: IPREG is a European research network focused on research into innovation and entrepreneurship policies. The TSE Entre joined the network in 2005.
We work closely together with the Academy of Finland, several Finnish Ministries, Tekes, Sitra and several foundations, among others. In addition, several associations and regional development agencies apply our many-sided expertise. An important share of our budget is financed by the European Commission.
International conferences and seminars
TSE Entre organises international and national conferences and seminars in entrepreneurship, mostly academic conferences. As a forerunner for entrepreneurship research we also carry out "Think Tanks"; entrepreneurship policy-oriented seminars to support decision-making. The events are planned and carried out based on the needs of the particular target group.
