At the TSE Entre we analyse entrepreneurship and innovation policies through growth, employment and enterprise education. We evaluate the entrepreneurship and innovation policies based on their
- content
- comprehensiveness
- functionality and
- effectiveness
Our evaluations target both individual instruments as well as larger entities. We centre on the national and international industrial policies.
TSE Entre takes part in several international projects (GEM and IPREG) that facilitate comparisons of the Finnish conditions to examples and practices from other countries.
Conditions and incentives of entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship and innovations create economic growth in the society. Hence, governments in different countries and for example the EU and OECD are responsible for developing programmes and manifestations in order to promote entrepreneurship and SMEs. This is done through both direct and indirect measures and tools.
There are relatively few critical investigations of entrepreneurship and innovation policies. In addition, there exists only fragmented knowledge about the functionality of the programmes and measures. Hence there is a need for high-quality, objective and holistic information about entrepreneurship policy-making and its results.
