Q: What does a small letter e in front of the eMBA stand for?

 

A: eMBA is an abbreviation from words executive Master of Business Administration.

 

Q: What are the entry requirements for the eMBA?

 

A: An academic degree or other strong indication of expertise and several years of working experience at executive or expert level positions.

 

Q: How can I apply for eMBA?

 

A: The start dates for the next programmes can be found from the application page. Also the application form can be found from there. In addition to the application form, the employer’s statement is needed. Please, contact TSE exe for the statement form.

 

Q: Is it possible to complete eMBA while working?

 

A: The programme is designed to be accomplished besides with work. Classroom teaching takes place in two day sessions and there is one session per month. The programme also includes assignments to be done independently, an exam and theses.

 

Q: What is EPAS?

A: The eMBA Turku received a three-year EPAS accreditation in the spring of 2009. The accreditation is an international recognition for high quality and continuous quality monitoring. The accreditation is granted by the world's largest management development co-operation network EFMD (The European Foundation for Management Development). The organization has over 700 member organizations representing the academic education and research in the corporate world, public services and consulting. One of the EFMD's forms of activity is the accreditations. In addition to the EPAS accreditations intended for educational programmes, EFMD offers quality evaluations for universities (EQUIS), the ICT based studying methods (CEL) and businesses (CLIP). 

 

Q: What does JOKO, GET and FUEL mean?

 

A: JOKO (Johtamiskoulutus in Finnish, Management Education Programme) is the first year module of the eMBA Turku, GET (Global Executive Training Programme) second and FUEL (Future Executive Leadership Programme) third year module.

 

Q: How often the eMBA programme starts?

 

A: The first eMBA module JOKO starts twice a year: in the beginning of the year and in autumn. The second and third year modules GET and FUEL start once a year (in autumn).

 

Q: In what time period should the eMBA studies be completed?

 

A: It is possible to have years off but the studies should be completed in six years time from starting.
