Boost Pitch -startup idea competition invites the most promising teams from the area to show what they are building and to compete on who can impress the judges and take home the grand prize.
The winning team will be flown to Istanbul in the end of March 2012 to participate MIT:s Global Startup Workshop and to compete in the Pitch event there (the workshop participation, hotels and flights to MITGSW in Istanbul are paid for maximum of 2 persons). http://www.mitgsw.org
The teams will compete with three minute elevator pitch and maximum 5 slides.

Requirements for applying:
- Minimum one team member is part of one of the universities in Turku (UTU, ÅA, AMK, NOVIA, HUMAK).
- Idea has not secured external funding exceeding 50k€
- The idea has not won previous Boost Pitch -competitions, Startup Sauna Turku warmups or participated in Summer of Startups program in Finland.

What is an elevator pitch?
Elevator Pitch-concept comes from the idea that when you step into the elevator and notice that the CEO or investor that you've wanted to meet and tell about your idea is standing just in front of you.
So - You have just the elevator ride to pitch - sell your business idea to the guy.
The question is, will you make it - or will you break it?
Example pitch structure:
Slogan: Name and the slogan of your team
Problem: What is the compelling problem you are solving and for whom
Solution: How you are going to solve the problem
Revenue: Where is the business opportunity
Team: Intro your team members
Execution: How are you going to execute your idea. (Next steps).

Maximum number of eight teams will be selected to pitch on stage!
The selected teams will be receiving pitch school training before the actual event.
Event will be held at Boost Startup Farm (Tykistökatu 4, Turku)
Boost will be providing some refreshments at the venue!
