Writing Entrepreneurship Cases for Teaching Purposes

Dr. Thomas Cooney from Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland, is coming to Turku to run his course on New Venture creation at Turku School of Economics.

During the week here Dr. Cooney will also give a workshop on writing entrepreneurship cases for teaching purposes. The workshop is primarily targeted to the BID staff but is open for other selected faculty members also.

Time and venue: Monday 31st October 2011, 2 pm - 4 pm at BID Business (Turku School of Economics, Rehtorinpellonkatu 3).

This workshop is aimed at helping academics develop their ability to write entrepreneurship case studies that they can use as part of their teaching pedagogy. The workshop will highlight the key approaches to be taken when writing case studies and how they can be used to maximise the learning experience for students. The workshop is based on a very successful model that has already been run in conjunction with international conferences and it is also currently being run in a number of European countries as part of an ECSB initiative. The workshop is supported by case studies and support materials that are available at www.eecsrc.eu.

Places for this workshop are limited. For more information, contact: sari.stenvall(a)utu.fi.
